Using Bookmarks
Bookmarks are special tags recognized by TextAloud used for marking positions in an article. Bookmarks can be used to help with editing long articles, and also for skipping portions of text when speaking the article aloud.
To Create a Bookmark in an Article
- Position the cursor to the location where the bookmark should be inserted, and click the left mouse button.
- Click the right mouse button to display the article's popup menu.
- Select Add Bookmark
- In the prompt displayed, enter a string to identify a bookmark. You will receive an error if the string has already been used as a bookmark in the article.
To Go to a Bookmark
- Click the right mouse button to display the article's popup menu.
- Select Go To Bookmark. The bookmarks defined for the article will appear as a submenu.
- Select a bookmark.
Notes
- The Go To Bookmark menu entry is disabled when writing text to audio files. The entry is only available when not speaking, or if speaking text aloud.
